Ever since its debut in Generation IV, Weavile has always been considered one of the most prominent Ice-types and is a revered fan favorite of the series, as well. Weavile represents the offensive excellence of Dark and Ice duality, and this is further capitalized by its exceptionally high Attack and Speed stats.
In the Tohoak Region, Weavile's offensive capabilities have been brought Up to Eleven. For starters, Weavile now has access to a stronger Ice-type STAB move in Icicle Punch (Not to get confused with Ice Punch), which a decent chance of lowering your opponent's evasion. This move is highly ideal, and allows Weavile to perform more powerful, yet slightly inaccurate moves in its arsenal such as: Iron Tail (especially useful in Vega's Fairy Patch), Wave Splash (a highly powerful Water-type move that even has a chance to raise Weavile's own evasion), and its newly powerful Dark-type STAB move, Devastate. The Sharp Claw Pokémon also sports additional new coverage in Raid and Psycho Punch, allowing it to counter any opposing Dark-types and Fighting-types, respectively. (Although keeping Weavile in on the latter is an extremely high risk.) Speaking of Fighting-types, Weavile also sports invaluable coverage in both Brick Break and Low Kick (Sneasel can learn this through breeding), which covers many counters and walls to it, as well, especially Steel-types. From all of this, it is clear that Weavile excels as a user of the Choice Band. since the combination of its high power STAB and coverage moves allows it to hit nearly every Pokémon in Tohoak for unresisted damage. Alternatively, Weavile can set up with Swords Dance and began to sweep from there.
The only major flaw of Weavile is its negative effect of being a glass cannon, having super-thin defenses and a weakness to common offensive types. Although, this can be averted real quick through proper prediction, team support, or even Weavile's sheer power and speed.
Despite the frailty of its bulk, Weavile is definitely one of the best offensive powerhouses available for the Postgame of Vega.
