Yunesis (Japanese: ユニサス / Unisas) is a dual-type Psychic/Steel Pokémon, and is one of the original Fakemon created for Pokémon Altair, Sirius and Vega.
It evolves from Psycolt when exposed to a Sun Stone. It is one of Psycolt's final forms, the other being Kinegasus.
Yunesis is way better than its counterpart Kinegasus thanks to its typing and stats. Although it excels as a great physical attacker, Yunesis also has a decent Special Attack to make it either a Special Sweeper or Mixed Attacker; all of these offensive roles are cemented, due to reliable Speed stat at base 95. With nine resistances and one immunity, the Intimidate ability and access to utility gems such as Iron Defense, Heal Bell, and Recover, Yunesis can perform as an excellent wall, despite its mediocre defenses.
To guarantee the Intimidate ability, make sure to catch a Psycolt that has the Run Away ability. If it has Early Bird and it evolves into Yunesis, it will have Immunity instead, which is very impractical since Yunesis is already immune to Poison.
Thankfully, Immunity is replaced with Sand Force in Procyon and Deneb, which in turn makes Yunesis a powerful choice for Sand teams. It is now strong against Fairy types but now weak to Ghost and Dark thanks to Steel no longer being resistant to said typings.
Nonetheless, Yunesis a great Psychic and Steel type Pokémon. Sure, it is hard raising it as a Psycolt but in the end, the unicorn is definitely worth your time and patience.
